Play and learn Brazilian Sign Language!
Loodus is an app specially intended to support deaf children with hearing parents in their sign language acquisition process, offering a ludic and interactive universe in addition to encouraging the parents' participation.
About the Project
This project is an initiative developed by the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL) with researchers from the Computer Institute (IC/UFAL) and the Faculty of Letters (FALE/UFAL). Our goal is to build a mobile app aimed at deaf children to support the process of Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) acquisition playfully and interactively.
For this purpose, we offer a ludic universe with mini-games and dialogues exclusively in Libras, inserted in the daily life's context of the child, and elements to stimulate the contact of hearing parents with sign language, such as the parent’s area.
